Healing Words for the Soul by Chum Obum is a Christian inspirational book that will leave you motivated in faith. This book is composed of Christian inspired poems that relate back to scriptures in the Bible. I loved the setup of this book. There are poems that the author relates back to scripture and then gives some inspirational quotes. I liked the messages that these poems give the reader. Chapter 2 Pray & Plow was probably my favorite. It’s easy for us to stray in our faith in the Lord, but we always find a way to make it back to him and his word. When God sees us pray and ask for forgiveness, God will answer our prayers and give us the tools that we need to make the right decision. Chapter 11 In His Bosom was particularly motivating as well. Nothing will happen in our faith if we don’t make the effort or try. If we just sit idly and don’t try to obtain God’s friendship, we can’t expect for him to be there for us. We need to seek God’s word and his friendship. We will get the ultimate power of freedom when we seek an intimate relationship with our creator. I loved the messages that this book sent us. It’s so easy to forget our faith and lose sight of who we are in this world. This book was inspiring and I will continue to reread a poem each day to feel motivated in my relationship with God.
This book is life! I love how the author "Chuma Obum" uses words to lift ones spirit up and also makes scriptural references that serve as a guide to whatever storm one might be facing. His quotes are powerful... the book is insightful, truly motivational and inspiring. I recommend everyone has a copy.

It's chapters and poem's, though short and unashamedly anchored to faith in the Bible; are perfect for wandering minds.
To the intending reader: Follow the book's suggestion to open your heart and read thoughtfully. My experience was that, going to a different place helped the message find me.
